Bumpdate: 37 Weeks

I've been so busy that I didn't do a 36 week post. So here is 37 weeks. We will be 38 weeks on Sunday....can't believe we are only about 2.5 weeks away from our due date!

How many weeks: 37
Symptoms: Swollen feet are happening pretty much daily now.
Baby Bump: Big. And I think maybe she dropped a little? When I look at the pics compared to a few weeks ago, I think she's a little lower. Not sure how my belly button isn't sticking out yet, but it's still an innie. Barely.
Food Cravings/Aversions: Nothing.
What else is going on: I've attended two weddings (one more this weekend) and we had our last baby shower last weekend. Baby girl has SO MUCH STUFF. She is definitely loved, that's for sure. My mom and sister threw a great shower for us and I think we are pretty much set. We are picking up a few things this weekend with gift cards and money we received, but otherwise, we have everything we need (or so we think). The nursery is almost done. Hoping to get it all finished up this weekend. Hospital bags are packed. Car seat is in the car. So close!

Bumpdate: 34 Weeks

I'm a little behind on updates, since I'll be 35 weeks on Sunday, but oh well!

How many weeks: 34
Symptoms: Uncomfortable pretty much sums it up. I feel like she's either crushing my bladder so I have to pee every 10 minutes, or crushing my lungs so I can't breath.
Baby Bump: Large and in charge.
Food Cravings/Aversions: Nada. I just think I use being pregnant as an excuse to eat more and eat less healthy than normal. But no cravings.
What else is going on: We had our first baby showers last week and it was so great! We had one at work on Friday and then one with Kevin's family and some of my friends on Sunday. We were blessed that so many family and friends came to celebrate (and spoil) Finley. I can't wait to spend some time organizing everything in the nursery this weekend.

Can't believe we are SO close to meeting our baby girl! It is getting real!

Just for comparison, here are weeks 12-22, and then weeks 24-34:

Bumpdate: 32 Weeks

How many weeks: 32
Symptoms: Pretty much the same as the last update. I would just say I'm uncomfortable. But that's to be expected at this point. I think I may have felt my first Braxton-Hicks contractions.
Baby Bump: I don't know how it's possible for it to get any bigger, but it just keeps growing! I can't believe my belly button has popped out yet.
Food Cravings/Aversions: Still nothing.
What else is going on: My sister got married! That was a long day that ended with swollen feet and a tired body, but totally worth it. We are going to another wedding this weekend and then three in September. I feel like I'll be leaving earlier with each one, but excited to go celebrate with our friends.
We went to our birthing class/hospital tour a couple weeks ago, which was beneficial. We've got a breastfeeding class next week and then a CPR class a couple weeks after that.
We went to a Detroit Tigers game last weekend and got to enjoy it from a suite - all the food and drinks we wanted! It was a perfect day for a game. I don't know how I would have felt sitting in a regular seat at 32 weeks pregnant, so I was thankful we were in a suite where we could sit out in the shade, or go in to the air conditioned suite if we got hot (which we didn't).
Our first baby shower is next weekend and I'm so excited! Can't wait to start getting the nursery finished and organizing her closet.

Bumpdate: 30 Weeks

I'm actually 31 weeks in these photos, but last week was crazy (my sister got married!!!), so I didn't have time to get a pic...so let's just pretend :)

How many weeks: 30
Symptoms: If I'm being honest? Sleep sucks - it's getting harder to get comfortable and I get stuffed up a lot at night, so then I can't breath, which is annoying. I toss and turn a lot (sorry Kevin). I can't sit or stand in one position for a long time, so going to the movies is not fun any more. My back pretty much hurts all the time. BUT I hate to complain, because I know that is all part of being pregnant and it's going to be over before I know it. And this pregnancy has been pretty smooth so far. I know there are people that have a much more difficult time than me, so I hate to be negative.
On the plus side, baby girl moves around like crazy now! Pretty much any time I'm sitting or laying for 10+ minutes, she starts moving. I can now feel her whole body moving around in there, not just kicks. Love that feeling.
Baby Bump: Oh, that bump. It gets bigger by the day.
Food Cravings/Aversions: Nothing.
What else is going on:
Took the bump out for my sister's bachelorette party. Stayed up until 2:00 am. Not sure how I did it while completely sober, but we had a good time :)

Got most of the wall decor for the nursery. Just waiting to get the rest of the furniture before I put anything on the walls. I have a feeling baby stuff is going to be in full force over the next couple of months.

Can't believe we are just over two months away from having her here!

Bumpdate: 26 Weeks

How many weeks: 26
Symptoms: Getting more uncomfortable, but still feeling pretty good, overall. Sleep isn't great, back aches sometimes, swollen feet/ankles when it's really hot and humid. But feeling thankful that I still feel good.
Baby Bump: Getting bigger every day.
Food Cravings/Aversions: None...wondering if I'll even get any cravings if I haven't yet?
What else is going on: Doing my glucose test this week, so keeping my fingers crossed for good results.
We had another ultrasound last week...and she's still a girl! Kevin's friend told him that at their first ultrasound they were told it was a girl, and then at the next one they found out it was actually a boy, so Kevin wanted to make sure they double checked at this one :)
We registered at Buy Buy Baby and Target last weekend and oh my word was that overwhelming! I had asked advice from other parents and made a list and we were still totally overwhelmed. So many things!
Kevin's brother and mom came and painted the nursery for us this week. Can't wait to start getting some furniture in there so we can start decorating!

Bumpdate: 24 Weeks

How many weeks: 24
Symptoms: Sleep is getting a little tougher. Besides waking a couple times a night to go to the bathroom, I'm having trouble falling asleep sometimes. I guess pregnancy insomnia is a real thing.
We had a couple of weekends when it got super hot (in the 90s) and I was outside, on my feet all day. By the end of the day, my feet and ankles were pretty swollen. Luckily that only happened the one day.
I'm feeling a lot more movement and it's easier for Kevin to feel it too. Sometimes you can even see little kicks from the outside. Especially when I lay down for bed at night, she goes crazy!
Baby Bump: Definitely getting bigger. And my belly button is getting much shallower.
Food Cravings/Aversions: None.
What else is going on: I'm continuing to clean out our office so we can make it a nursery. Hoping to work on it more this weekend.
I started buying some cute girl shoes and clothes. Not a ton, just a few things I couldn't resist. Baby shoes are seriously the cutest.
Can't believe we are 6 months in already! This pregnancy is flying by. Hoping the last 3-4 months continue to be just as smooth as these first 6 have been.

My sister and her fiance got me tickets to see Kane Brown and Chris Young this past weekend, which was really fun. It was my 8th concert since being pregnant, and I'm realizing concerts are getting harder to attend the further along I get because I get uncomfortable quicker than normal. But it was still a great concert. Chris Young is one of my favorites!

Bumpdate: 22 Weeks

How many weeks: 22
Symptoms: Starting to get some back/leg pain, but nothing too bad. Picked up this Boppy Body Pillow this week to help with sleep - it's amazing! Makes a big difference when trying to get comfortable at night.
Baby Bump: Still growing!
Food Cravings/Aversions: None.
What else is going on: We found out the gender! You can see our "reveal" here. We didn't do a party or anything, we just told our family and friends and then about a week later we posted on social media. So excited for this little lady to join us in October!

I attended Birthday Bash this past weekend and had a great time. Birthday Bash is a country concert the local radio station puts on every year. It was a completely different set up this time, but it was great for this pregnant lady. Later start time, cooler temps, and great music.

Still slowly working on cleaning out our office, which will be the nursery. Hoping to get a lot more accomplished in there over the next couple of weeks.

And just for fun, a pic every two weeks, starting at week 12 through week 22:

Bumpdate: 20 Weeks

Halfway! This pregnancy is flying by, and I know the last 20ish weeks are going to go even quicker.

How many weeks: 20
Symptoms: Feeling more and more kicks/movement. Kevin was able to feel a kick for the first time last night!
Baby Bump: Getting bigger. I used to have my belly button pierced, and even though I took the belly button ring out several years ago, the hole never closed. Now, it's pretty flat, you can't really see the hole any more. So weird.
Food Cravings/Aversions: None.
What else is going on: Had my 20 week appointment at the doctor yesterday. Heartbeat was in the 140s. The doctor would pick up the heartbeat on one side of my stomach, then it would move to the other side. It was like the baby was trying to move away every time. It made me laugh a little...stubborn already. Hoping to get our ultrasound scheduled in the next week so we can find out the gender!

I did my last 5k at 19 weeks (Riverbank Run). My goal was to run the entire time, which I did, so I was happy about that. Now I just need to get in the routine of working out/running more consistently. I'm trying to take advantage of the fact that I feel great right now.

Hoping to work on cleaning out our office this weekend so we can start making it the nursery. Things are getting more and more real!

Bumpdate: 18 Weeks

How many weeks: 18
Symptoms: Just getting up to go to the bathroom 1-2 times every night.
Baby Bump: Can't hide it any more! Just ordered more maternity clothes to help me get through the summer.
Food Cravings/Aversions: No aversions any more, and no cravings yet. Just hungry all the time.
What else is going on: Felt the first little kicks/movement! I can't wait until they are strong enough for Kevin to feel them from the outside.

Only a few more weeks until we know if this baby is a boy or girl. We can't wait to find out!

I ran another 5k at 17 weeks and felt great...even ran it faster than the last one. The race was super fun. It was in Detroit and we got to finish on Comerica Park and walk around the field. I have another 5k coming up this weekend, and that's the last race I have during this pregnancy. Although I plan to continue running as long as I feel good.

17 weeks

We also went to a 40th Anniversary party and a 40th Birthday party at 18 weeks. Baby's first time on a carriage ride ;)

Feeling very grateful that I feel good and am having an uneventful pregnancy so far!
