Happy 5th Birthday Admiral!

I can't believe it, but Admiral turns 5 today! Well I guess he's actually 35...but 5 to us :) The past 5 years have gone by so fast. Since 5 is kind of a milestone (or just an excuse for me to do something special), I ordered a super cute pupcake from Dogwood Barkery for Admiral to enjoy. They did such a cute job and even decorated the box for him!

He's also been spoiled with a new football, tennis balls, t-shirt, and treats. Happy Birthday to our fur baby!

My Dog Looks Like A Cow

This might be the most random thing ever, but I'm sharing it anyway.  One day I randomly (probably on Pinterest) came across a picture of a fluffy cow.  So I googled fluffy cow and found a few more pictures (they are actually called Highland Cattle).  I immediately thought OMG Admiral looks like those cows!  So I thought I'd share some comparisons and let you be the judge.

 So what do you think?  Does Admiral look like those fluffy cows?  I know they aren't twins or anything, but I definitely see the resemblance :)

5 on Friday

I missed this fun link up last week, so I'm happy to be back sharing 5 randoms this Friday!

ONE.  I got these pants (in black) from Old Navy the other day and I LOVE them.  They are super comfy and flattering.  I wore them to work yesterday and got lots of compliments.  I'm thinking about going back and getting a couple more in different colors!

TWO.  Tonight I'm going to a jewelry party my mom is having and I'm looking forward to purchasing some cute new jewelry pieces!  Tomorrow we are going to a birthday party for my friend's little boy and Sunday we have no set plans except for watching football. All day.  I'm pretty excited about this weekend!

THREE.  I'm going grocery shopping this weekend and stocking up on some healthier foods.  Starting Monday I'm trying Steph's plan for healthy living.  I haven't blogged much about this, but I haven't been happy with my body for a while now, and I'm making a change!  I debating a full post dedicated to this topic, but haven't decided yet.

FOUR.  Along with eating healthier, I also bought a Groupon for 30 exercise classes at a local gym for only $29!  I plan to start going a couple times a week starting next week.  Hopefully after a few months, I'll be where I want to be and can continue to maintain a healthier lifestyle!

FIVE.  I won my first giveaway this week from Kait's blog CommuniKait!  I won a pillow from Dog City & Co and I decided on this one.  I can't wait to get it!

Some of Admiral's Favorite Things

I'm linking up for the first time today with Adriana from Dog Hair Is An Accessory.  Check her out...her blog is pretty awesome.  I figured this animal link up was a perfect opportunity to share some of Admiral's favorite things.

Admiral LOVES popcorn.  It's his favorite "treat."  We have an air popper and Kevin makes popcorn at least once a week.  Admiral loves when this happens.  He just waits for Kevin to drop some popcorn for him.  He stares until you feel guilty enough to drop a few pieces.

Kevin left the room for a minute, and Admiral just stared at the bowl full of popcorn the entire time.

Admiral also loves to play in his "pool."  This is probably the best $10 we ever spent.  He chases his ball and then runs and lays in the pool.  Then he gets up and splashes in the pool with his ball.

Kevin enjoys the pool with Admiral too :)

 Admiral also loves playing with other dogs.  My sister recently got a puppy, his name is Lambert.  Admiral likes playing tug of war, but it usually turns in to Lambert laying down and Admiral dragging him.

 And suckers.  Admiral likes suckers.  Who knew?  But Kevin decided to let him try it and he was hooked.  Here are Admiral and Diego trying a sucker for the first time.
