Weekend Recap: Happy New Year!

I can't believe we are already five days in to 2015!  I really enjoyed having a nice long vacation from work over the holidays, so I have a feeling today is going to be one of the roughest Mondays in a long time.

We had a low key New Years Eve at our house.  It was just me, Kevin, and Admiral and it was great.  Someone in our neighborhood shot off fireworks all night, so Admiral was scared to death, so we hung out in the basement a lot with him.  We saw the ball drop and then went to bed.

New Year's day I spent some time at my parents with family and then headed back home.  We finally got some snow this weekend, which I could have done with out.  I would be happy if we didn't have any snow for the rest of winter (wishful thinking).

We spent the rest of our weekend cleaning up all of the Christmas decorations, putting away our new Christmas presents, catching up on laundry, and doing a little makeover on our coffee table.  I'm in love with the way it turned out and I can't wait to show it to you this week!  Here's a hint: Kevin' got a miter saw for Christmas, and he got to use it on this project :)

Here's a look at our weekend in a few photos:

I met a friend for lunch on New Year's Eve and Admiral wanted to try on my blanket scarf.

Kevin hung up my Ikea wine rack for me (it was a birthday gift back in July....)

Went out downtown with my sister and her friends Friday night.

How was your New Year's?
