Today marks three years since we said, "I do." I can't believe it's been three years already! Kevin, thanks for making the past three years some of the best. I love being married to you, my best friend. Can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together. I love you!

Weekend Recap: 4th of July in Detroit
Kevin and I spent 4th of July weekend in Detroit for the Tigers baseball games. The mini-vacay was our anniversary present to each other. We left Friday afternoon, checked in to our hotel, and then headed to the game. We saw a great game that night--the Tigers pitcher (Sanchez) had a no-hitter going in to the 8th inning! We stayed for the fireworks at the field that night and then headed back to the hotel.
Saturday morning we ate breakfast at the hotel and then headed to game. We got free red, white, and blue Tigers hats at the game, and we saw another win! After the game, we went back to the hotel to shower (we were hot, sweaty, and sticky from sunscreen) and then we ate dinner at our hotel before heading to the movies. We saw Ted 2 and we both thought it was pretty funny.
Sunday morning we had breakfast at the hotel again, packed up our stuff, and headed to the game. The game on Sunday didn't go as well as the previous two days (the Tigers lost), so we ended up leaving in the 6th inning so we could beat traffic and get home a little earlier.
It was a such a great weekend full of baseball, food, and sun! We had a great time spending quality time together celebrating our two-year anniversary. How did you spend your 4th of July weekend?

Wedding Wednesday: Our First Anniversary!
Kevin and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary on Sunday. I can't believe that a year has gone by already!
We didn't do anything big, but we had a great day spending time together. We actually exchanged gifts on Friday, because Kevin can't keep a secret/surprise long enough to wait until our actual anniversary haha. I told Kevin I wanted to do the "traditional" anniversary gifts, so the first year's theme is paper. I got Kevin a card I created from Treat. He was surprised to see such a custom card. He actually saw the back first, and said, "hey, that's our picture on there!" I love how I was able to customize the card to our first anniversary. Treat cards are perfect for any special occasion, such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, etc, and I will definitely be making more of them in the future. For the paper gift, I got Kevin tickets to see Kevin James perform. Kevin got me a card that was totally us, the next book in the James Patterson serious that I read, and an itunes giftcard. He did good :)
On our anniversary, we went to the movies and saw Neighbors. I thought it was just ok. It had some funny parts, but something I'd rather rent than go to the theater to see. Then we headed to dinner at Great Lakes Shipping Co. Our food was really good and the service was really fast, which was great because we were hungry!
My Lobster Mac & Cheese.
Lobster Cakes for appetizer.
Kevin's prime rib and twice baked potato.
I'm so happy that I got to marry such a great person, and I can't wait to spend many more happy years together!
Thanks Treat for such a beautiful card to celebrate our first anniversary!
