Wedding Wednesday: DIY Rehearsal Dinner Invitation

I know that it's been almost seven months since our wedding, but I'm finding there are some small details that I forgot to share, so I'm back for another Wedding Wednesday!

We did our wedding on a budget, so I did the rehearsal dinner invitations myself.  I found some ideas on Pinterest and then I created my own invitation using Microsoft Word.  I just printed the invitations on some purple cardstock and then mailed them out to everyone.  You can definitely make it more fancy than I did, but it was cute, simple, and most of all inexpensive.  So here is the wording that we used:

Did you DIY your rehearsal dinner invitation?  Or did you find it easier to have someone else do them for you?

  1. My husband and I did our wedding on a budget, too, so we didn't actually have a rehearsal dinner. I did, however, do all the invitations, thank yous and decor by myself! I love the wording you used :)

  2. Great invitation! Since most of our family was from out of town, we hosted a huge rehearsal dinner bbq that all family could attend. It was a great, great time, and we just did an evite for the invitation since we needed numbers really quick.

    Stopping by from the linkup!

  3. Those are cute! We need to do something for our rehearsal dinner invites, but I haven't figured that out yet. I'm kinda hoping Jeremy's mom will do them for us....but I haven't asked her yet. Oops. I probably should do that!

Thanks for linking back up with us!

  5. What a fun rhyme! I love it! I haven't decided what we're doing about rehearsal invitations, but I think DIY is probably our route!

  6. MY MIL got them super cheap on some website. I think they were like 10 dollars for 30 of them??

These look terrific though. You did great.

    Thanks for linking up!

  8. Your invitation looks lovely! Good thing you had enough time to do it. Others usually have someone else to do this task, so they can focus on other important things for the big day. But definitely not for you! I guess a combination of a reliable printing shop and great creativity, everything will work out just fine. Thanks for sharing.
