Then it was time for my sister to give her speech, and Kevin's brother to give his. They both did a great job and I'm so happy they were there next to us on our big day!
After the speeches, Pastor Cadle said a prayer and then we ate. Our dinner was buffet style and our caterer was
Adeline Leigh. They did an amazing job! The food was delicious and the staff was very professional and helpful.
Next up was our first dance. We danced to "Swear It Again" by Westlife. Early in our relationship, we decided that was "our song" and so that's what we danced to. I like that it's not really a popular song, so not a lot of people have it as "their song."
We did our father/daughter and mother/son dance at the same time and we danced to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. I had to get my country music in there somewhere :) (In case you don't know, I'm a huge country fan and Kevin is not...he's getting better though.)
Our bridal party dance was so fun and it started the night off right! We started dancing to "All For Love" by Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, and Sting. Then half-way through we switched to "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz and invited everyone to come dance with us.
The night was full of good music and fun dancing!
Before we knew it, it was time to cut the cake! Our wedding cake was done by a woman named Sue, who does cakes out of her home. You can check her out
here. It was amazing! It looked beautiful and tasted great! The fresh flowers on the cake were from
Kaleena, who did our bouquets.
The Groom's Cake was made by cousin who came up from Louisiana and surprised us with it! It's totally Kevin (and me). We are huge Detroit Tigers fans, so the cake was perfect! And it tasted delicious! If you're in Louisiana and need a cake, check her out
here.
A little later we did our bouquet and garter toss and then danced the rest of the night away!
We had a photobooth for four hours at our reception and I think people had a lot of fun with it. I was so busy during the reception, I only went in a couple times at the end. After you go in the photobooth, it would print two copies of your strips of photos: one for you to keep, and one to put in a scrapbook and write a message next to it. It's so fun looking back at all of the photos from that night, I'm so glad we had the photobooth!
I couldn't believe it when 12:30 a.m. rolled around and it was time to start cleaning up. There were so many people I didn't get a chance to talk to, and I felt bad that I didn't to talk to everyone. But I had a GREAT time and was excited to leave on our honeymoon the next day.
