New House Tour: Half Bath

I feel like this room is one of the most "dramatic" before and afters in our house. It's amazing what a little paint can do. Let's just get down to it. Here's what it looked like when we bought the house:

 So much pink. Sponge paint. Flower border. Blue blinds. Everything had to go.

Here's what we did:
- new floors (hired out)
- painted walls and trim
- new toilet
- new sink
- new fixtures (faucet, toilet paper holder, and towel holder)
- painted cabinets (hired out)
- new hardware & hinges on cabinets
- epoxy countertops
- new mirror
- new light fixture

And here's what it looks like now:

I LOVE this way this bathroom turned out, but I have a few things I still want to do:
- paint the door black
- touch up paint on window trim
- new blinds
- figure out decor for long wall

Our New House!

If you follow me on social you probably know that we sold our current house and bought a new one! We are only moving about 10 minutes from our current house, but to a different school district and a bigger house with a bigger yard. We are SO excited to move next week and have been working hard on the new house to make it ours. Today I'm sharing all of the "before" photos and our plans for the house. (Note: most of these are listing photos - none of the furniture is ours - we haven't moved in yet!) Follow along on Instagram to stay up to date on our progress!

Front/Exterior: No plans right now. In the future, we'd like to update the siding, shutter, and door colors, but no rush to do that. I'll probably spend some time on the flowers next year, but not worrying about anything this fall. Just typical maintenance.

Kitchen/Dining: new floors, new paint on walls and trim, cabinets getting painted, new cabinet hardware, new countertops, new kitchen faucet, new microwave for over the stove.

Family room: new floors (no more carpet), new paint on walls and trim, paint built-ins white.

Living Room: new paint on walls and trim.

Master bedroom: New paint on walls and trim, install closet organizers.

Finley's room: new paint on walls and trim.

Playroom: new paint on walls and trim.

Half bathroom: new floors, new paint on walls and trim, new toilet, new sink, new faucet, new countertops, paint cabinets, new cabinet hardware.

Full Bathroom: New floors, new paint on walls and trim, new sink, new faucet, new countertops, paint cabinets, new tub/shower, all new fixtures.

Guest Bedroom: Nothing right now.

Basement: Nothing right now.

Office/Storage Room: Nothing right now.

Back Yard: Move fire pit to corner. In the future we will tear down the current shed (not in great shape) and add a new one, add a landscaped area around the fire pit, add flowers, power wash and stain the deck.

All of the walls, trim, and doors on the main floor are getting painted. We (aka my dad) also changed  out almost all of the outlets and switches because most of them had been painted over or were tan instead of white. We also have a lot of new light fixtures to install. We've already done a TON of work, which you can see in my saved highlights on my Instagram, but still have lots to do! I'll plan to share some of the in progress pics soon.
